For over thirty years The Bronx Household of Faith has been a church without walls. We moved into the city in the early 1970's with little or no resources. We were determined to use what we had, our apartments and homes.
The time has come to increase our visibility in a neighborhood of which we have been a part over these many years. God in His providence enabled us to purchase property on a side street which, unbeknownst to us, subsequently became a thoroughfare with the construction of a large school building across the street.
A person walking out of this school would immediately spot our building as our lot directly faces the main entrance. This is after having been prevented from purchasing other properties farther away. Our ministries, with their dedicated cadre of volunteer workers, are already in place. They would be greatly enhanced with our own place to meet.
The ministry opportunities that this building will provide are greater than ever.
"Unless the LORD builds the house,
its builders labor in vain."
~ Psalm 127:1 ~
We understand that a church is not a building. It is people. This building is a tool to be used in ministry much the same way as a printing press, a personal computer, a bus or an airplane. We have the people. We need the tools.
